skills: llm apis, openai, anthropic, data pipelines, apis, crm, system integrations, dealcloud, automation

Join a boutique merchant bank partnering directly with founders to navigate high-stakes sales to private equity firms, working on complex, high-impact transactions across a range of industries. We primarily work on behalf of PE firms and their portfolio companies to refine investment theses, conduct market research, identify acquisition targets, and execute deals across industries. Founded in February 2023, we are now a 16-person team with offices in Los Angeles, CA and Medellín, Colombia, working and investing alongside many of the top private equity funds in the United States.

We are committed to building a modern, AI-enabled deal sourcing platform. And as part of that vision, we are investing heavily in artificial intelligence to overhaul each step of our current process and launch new service lines (accounting, financial due diligence, etc.). This role will sit at the center of that transformation.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a full-time AI Engineer to design and build the internal systems that will power our next phase of growth. This is a core operator role, not a support function. You will collaborate directly with leadership, deal teams, and research to rethink how our business runs. You will own our AI architecture, tooling, and automation strategy end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the entire team to identify inefficiencies and redesign workflows across sourcing, research, outreach, and CRM

• Build and deploy internal tools that automate repetitive work, reduce manual effort, and improve output

• Architect scalable AI-powered systems, automations, and data pipelines to support firm’s core operations

• Lead integrations across third-party data providers, DealCloud, and communication platforms to create connected, reliable workflows

• Establish and maintain high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and traceability across systems

• Continuously evaluate emerging AI capabilities and translate them into practical tools and processes

Qualifications

• Full-stack or product engineer with applied AI experience

• Experience building AI-powered applications with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)

• Experience with data pipelines, APIs, CRMs, sales tools, and system integrations

Ideal Candidate

• High-agency builder who takes ownership and ships quickly

• Systems thinker who instinctively identifies inefficiencies and automates them

• Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders

• Detail-obsessed with a bias toward clean, reliable data
