Founder AI Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview:

Anthropic is building the next generation of AI safety research, supported by a Business Technology team that develops internal tools for Finance, Legal, Operations, and other business teams.

This role is for a highly autonomous full-stack engineer who enjoys owning the entire product lifecycle—from discovery to delivery—while working closely with stakeholders to solve real business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build full-stack internal tools (backend, frontend, infrastructure) from idea to production
• Partner directly with Finance, Legal, Ops, and business stakeholders to understand workflows
• Identify patterns across requests and develop scalable platforms / reusable solutions
• Run stakeholder meetings, drive alignment, and own prioritization decisions
• Iterate quickly based on feedback to improve user experience
• Continuously learn and adopt new tools, frameworks, and domains

Must-Have Skills:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience (full-stack preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Python
• TypeScript
• React
• Ability to own and deliver products end-to-end independently
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work in ambiguous environments

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in startups or early-stage environments (Founder / Founding Engineer is a plus)
• Experience building internal tools, platforms, or reusable systems
• Exposure to Finance, Legal, or Operations tooling
