Job Description: Join a 12-person team rebuilding the foundation of one of the largest and most broken industries in the world with applied AI. This company hit multi-seven figure ARR and roughly 50% month-over-month growth in under a year, raised a 13x oversubscribed $3.8M seed round from Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, led by the partner who was early at OpenAI and Scale AI, and has capital in the bank with no urgent need to raise. You deploy to production on day one, you create your own specs, and you own your work end-to-end. This is not a role for people looking for a standard 9 to 5.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Monday through Friday in-office)

What you will do:

• Build and ship production-grade fullstack features end-to-end across backend Python APIs, databases, and React frontends, taking full ownership of specs and delivery from ideation through customer deployment
• Integrate and scale AI/ML systems in production including LLMs, RAG pipelines, function calling, and multimodal AI, working on the kind of applied problems that most engineers only read about
• Work hands-on with enterprise clients to integrate solutions, iterate quickly on feedback, and deliver measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced environment where 50-plus hours per week is the norm

The ideal candidate:

• 1 or more years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade code with a strong backend focus and clear signals of technical excellence, whether from a top-tier company, a quant firm, strong academic competitions like IMO, IOI, or ICPC, or published and applied AI work
• Strong backend engineering in Python with experience designing and shipping production APIs and databases, plus familiarity with AI/ML integration in production systems and cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure
• A CS or technical degree from a top program, a high-ownership mindset, and genuine excitement about working in an intense, fast-paced environment where you are expected to figure things out and deliver, not wait for direction
