About Quadara
Quadara is building an AI-powered integration and automation layer for higher education.
Colleges and universities run on fragmented systems across SIS, LMS, ERP, CRM, HR, finance, scheduling, and reporting. Quadara sits on top of those systems to unify data, automate workflows, and help institutions operate more efficiently without replacing the software they already use.
Our initial focus is higher education operations, connecting platforms such as PeopleSoft, Banner, Canvas, Workday, Salesforce, and related systems to power automation, decision support, and AI-driven workflows across enrollment, student services, academic operations, and administration.
Quadara is being built by experienced founders with deep higher education relationships, strong market access, and prior company-building experience. We are looking for a technical co-founder / CTO to lead architecture, product development, and technical strategy from the ground up.
The Opportunity
You will be the technical leader and hands-on builder responsible for shaping the platform architecture, making key technology decisions, building the initial product, and helping define how Quadara goes from concept to pilot to scalable company.
What You’ll Own
- Lead the technical vision, architecture, and execution of Quadara’s platform
- Build the first version of the AI-powered integration and automation layer
- Develop integrations across core higher education and enterprise systems
- Define a secure, scalable application, data, and infrastructure foundation
- Partner with the founders on product strategy, customer discovery, pilots, and technical storytelling
- Help hire and lead the early engineering team over time
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience building production software platforms
- Deep architecture experience across APIs, integrations, middleware, data flows, and SaaS systems
- Hands-on 0-to-1 startup or early-stage product building experience
- Practical understanding of modern AI/LLM capabilities and where they create real business value
- Ability to move quickly, make sound tradeoffs, and ship pragmatically
Relevant Experience
- Higher education technology or EdTech
- Enterprise software integrations
- Student information systems, ERP, LMS, CRM, or HRIS platforms
- Multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Workflow automation and orchestration
- Data privacy, security, and compliance in regulated environments
- Early-stage startup leadership or prior founding experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with platforms such as PeopleSoft, Banner, Canvas, Workday, Salesforce, or similar systems
- Familiarity with FERPA, SOC 2, role-based access, auditability, and enterprise security practices
- Experience building AI-enabled products using LLMs, NLP, retrieval, orchestration, or agent-style workflows
- Experience supporting enterprise pilots, proof of concepts, or technical pre-sales conversations
- Experience hiring and mentoring early engineers
Compensation
- Equity founding role

- Standard vesting structure with 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff
