About RDE Advisors

RDE Advisors is a boutique commercial real estate advisory firm in New York City. We’re not just using AI—we’re building companies with it.

Over the past year, our founder has used AI development tools to begin building two products from scratch: a property management platform and a search engine for office space. Both are actively in development and moving fast. Now we need a dedicated builder to take these products from early-stage to fully realized and help bring new ideas to life as they come along.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to work directly with a 20-year industry veteran who is actively creating new technology businesses. You won’t be writing code in a vacuum—you’ll be building real products with real users, fast.

The Role

This is a product engineering role focused on building and shipping real applications—not a research or model-training position.

You will be the technical engine behind everything we build. Your primary focus is shipping AI-powered products—quickly, intelligently, and with a bias toward action.

Today, that means taking two products in active development and building them into something real. Tomorrow, it could mean an entirely new idea. The roadmap here isn’t set in stone—we move fast, follow opportunity, and need someone who thrives in that environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full product lifecycle—concept, architecture, development, deployment, and iteration—for AI-powered applications
  • Build and ship products using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Replit, etc.) alongside traditional development when needed
  • Take our property management platform and office space search engine from early development to production-ready products
  • Develop new product ideas from whiteboard to working software as the firm identifies new opportunities
  • Create automations and internal tools that streamline brokerage operations (deal tracking, research, client communications, marketing)
  • Stay on top of emerging AI platforms and proactively bring ideas for how they can be applied
  • Support the firm’s digital presence—website, content, and marketing—using AI tools

Our Stack

You’ll be working on live, production web applications from day one—not training models or running notebooks. The current stack includes Next.js 14, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase (PostgreSQL), Vercel, Claude API (Anthropic), Mapbox, and QuickBooks API integration. You don’t need to know all of these on day one, but you should be comfortable in this world.

Who You Are

  • You’ve built and shipped web applications—not just trained models or run notebooks. Apps, tools, side projects, startup MVPs—anything with a frontend, a backend, and real users. Show us.
  • You use AI-assisted development tools daily — not just for prompting, but for building, debugging, and shipping full-stack applications faster
  • You can take a vague idea and turn it into working software without needing step-by-step direction
  • You move fast and understand that speed of iteration matters more than perfection early on
  • You’re comfortable working across the full stack (frontend, backend, databases, deployment)
  • You can pick up an existing codebase, understand the architecture, and make it yours—whether that means extending it, refactoring it, or rebuilding it better
  • You’re entrepreneurial and energized by building new things, not maintaining legacy systems
  • Bonus: familiarity with commercial real estate, prop-tech, or fintech

Growth & Upside

This is not a traditional engineering role buried in a corporate team. You’ll work directly with the firm’s founder every day, building products from the ground up.

As the products you build gain traction, you’ll play a central role in scaling them—technically and operationally. The person in this role has a clear path to growing into a technical leadership role across the ventures we build together. We’re a small team by design, and the right person here will have an outsized impact on what we become.

Compensation

  • Starting base salary: $65–$80K depending on experience
  • Performance bonuses of $10–$20K+ tied to clear product milestones—launches, user adoption, and revenue targets
  • As products generate revenue, your compensation grows with them—this is a starting point, not a ceiling

Work Environment

Our office is in a beautiful building in Chelsea with a private rooftop deck. You’ll work in a recently renovated, intimate space with high ceilings and great natural light—alongside a tight-knit team of four. We value in-person collaboration, especially during onboarding, and our team generally works from the office—but we’re flexible for the right person. You’ll collaborate directly with firm leadership daily.

Respect, honesty, integrity, and hard work are the backbone of how we operate. We’re looking for someone who shares those values.

To Apply

Apply directly through Indeed or LinkedIn. As part of your application, we’ll ask about what you’ve built and how you use AI—so come ready to show, not just tell.
