Fullstack Engineer & Credit Analyst - AI-Powered Mortgage Platform
Company Description
Auspak Home Loans is a family-owned mortgage brokerage based in Coogee, Sydney with over 25 years in the Australian lending market. We work across 70+ lenders to find the right loan for every client — residential, commercial, refinancing, and investment.
We're currently building Auspak OS — a ground-up, AI-powered platform designed to run every part of a modern broking operation. Our goal is to become the most AI-enabled brokerage in Australia, and eventually turn what we've built into a product for the wider industry.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coogee, NSW. You'll split your time between two things: building out our AI-powered mortgage platform (Auspak OS) and working as a credit analyst using the tools you build.
On the engineering side, you'll ship features across the full stack — React frontend, Supabase backend (PostgreSQL, Edge Functions, RLS), deployed on Vercel. You'll build and extend AI integrations including lender matching, document processing, risk scoring, and automated compliance workflows.
On the broking side, you'll assess loan applications, match clients with the right lenders, and manage deals through to settlement — all using the AI tools you've built. We'll teach you the credit and broking side from scratch. You bring the engineering.
This isn't a normal dev job. You build the tools, then you use them to do the actual work. That's what makes the role unique.
Qualifications
- Strong experience building and shipping React applications
- Comfortable with SQL, relational databases, and backend development (we use Supabase/PostgreSQL)
- Exposure to AI or LLM integration — API calls, RAG pipelines, embeddings, or similar. Doesn't need to be deep, but you should be genuinely curious
- Ability to learn fast — broking and credit will be completely new to you, and that should be exciting rather than daunting
- Happy to work on-site in Coogee, Sydney five days a week
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar — or self-taught with a strong portfolio of shipped work
- Nice-to-haves: TypeScript, Python, Vercel/serverless, fintech or lending experience, interest in product development and SaaS
