Copyright Slap, Inc. has been on the front lines of the fight against online piracy for years. We don’t just find infringements; we remove them. With the explosion of generative AI, we have recently expanded our mission to tackle one of the Internet’s greatest threats: Deepfakes.
We recently launched our Deepfake Removal Tool. Now, we are looking for a technical leader to help us rapidly expand our feature set, scale our detection engine, and protect digital integrity across the globe.
The RoleWe are seeking a Head of Engineering to join us as a late-stage founding member. You will own the technical architecture, lead the deployment of new AI-driven features, and help steer the company’s technical vision.
This is a part-time (15-20 hours/week) role designed for a high-level Senior Developer or Architect who wants to build a significant equity stake in a high-growth startup while maintaining their current professional commitments.
Responsibilities- Architectural Ownership: Take over and scale our existing piracy and deepfake detection infrastructure.
- Rapid Feature Expansion: Lead the development of new tools for real-time monitoring, automated enforcement, and social media integration.
- Technical Strategy: Work directly with the CEO to define the product roadmap and evaluate emerging AI detection technologies.
- Code Execution: Remain hands-on in the trenches while building the framework for a future engineering team.
- Senior-Level Experience: 7+ years in software engineering, with expertise in Python, Node.js, or similar stacks.
- Technical Breadth: Experience with web scraping at scale, AI/ML integration, and automated workflow systems.
- Mission Alignment: A deep interest in AI ethics, cybersecurity, and digital rights.
- Founding Mindset: You are a builder who thrives on autonomy and is excited by the challenge of scaling a pre-seed company.
Please Note: This is an equity-only role until our next funding milestone.
- Equity: 5.0% Founding Equity Stake (Common Stock).
- Vesting: Standard 4-year vesting schedule with a 1-year cliff.
- Protection: Double-trigger acceleration included (acquisition protection).
- Salary Trigger: Formal agreement to move to a market-rate cash salary upon a "Qualified Financing" milestone of $500,000.
- Flexibility: Fully remote and part-time. We value output over hours.
