Head of Engineering

We’re hiring a Head of Engineering at Vidably.

Vidably is an AI Fund and Grit Capital portfolio company building the human evidence layer for AI commerce.

AI shopping agents are starting to make real purchasing decisions, but they’re working with thin data: specs, studio photos, and unreliable text reviews. We're building the missing layer.

A few things about how we work:

• Everyone here is a builder. (seriously 100% of employees use Claude Code every day even non-engineers)

• We use Claude Code heavily (did I already mention that?) and are constantly testing the newest AI tools and features.

• The goal is simple: ship high-quality, maintainable code as fast as possible.

Our stack today is opinionated TypeScript + AI-native tooling.

If you’re not already using AI coding tools daily, this probably isn’t the right role.

We work together in person in SoMa, San Francisco (unfortunately we're only able to consider local candidates at this time). Five days a week. That said, we’re adults about flexibility (I have a two-year-old and occasionally disappear for swim lessons or music class), but early teams build better in the same room.
