Lead Engineer
Lead Developer (Part-Time, Early Stage / Equity-Based)
Preference for candidates based in the U.S. or with strong overlap with Eastern Time.
The Role
Ralle is looking for a part-time lead developer to help build and shape the MVP of an AI-powered community platform focused on helping people find relevant conversations, groups, and local communities faster.
This is an early-stage, equity-based role to start, with the potential to grow into a larger long-term position as the company progresses. We are looking for someone who wants meaningful ownership, high influence on product and technical direction, and the chance to help shape the foundation of the platform from the beginning.
You will work directly with the founder to turn the current product vision into a focused, working MVP and help make smart technical decisions as we move toward launch and fundraising.
What you will work on
Lead the technical build of Ralle’s early product and MVP
Help architect and develop core features including onboarding, interest-based matching, clubs, and lightweight real-time chat
Build within the current MVP stack, while helping evaluate what should remain and what should evolve over time
Work closely with the founder on product decisions, feature prioritization, and iteration
Make practical technical choices that support speed, usability, and future scale
Help shape the early roadmap ahead of launch, testing, and fundraising
Work directly with the founder, who previously built and launched a platfrom to over 300,000 users and more than $5M in sales
Ideal Background
Strong full-stack experience
Comfortable building early-stage products with limited resources and moving fast without overengineering
Experience with products involving social interaction, community, chat, matching, or AI integrations is a strong plus
Able to balance speed with sound technical judgment
Startup, freelance, or founder experience is a plus
Interested in 0 to 1 work and building something from the ground up
