Beverage Distribution Consultants (BDC) isn't your typical boutique advisory firm. We operate at the intersection of high-stakes logistics, complex compliance, technology deployment, solution development, and enterprise data. We are looking for a Lead Builder who has the consulting instincts to spot a business opportunity and the engineering "chops" to build the solution end-to-end.

This role is 50% Client Solutions: Architecting AI for the nation's distributors, and 50% Internal Innovation: Building the "BDC AI OS" to make our own consulting practice the most agile in the industry.

Your Two Primary Objectives

1. Architect Client Success (The Consultant)

You will partner with C-suite executives at distribution companies to identify where AI Agents can replace manual bottlenecks. You aren't just giving advice; you are building the Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or utilizing comparable frameworks and Agentic Workflows that bridge legacy systems with modern intelligence. We’ll be solving complex distribution challenges around finances and supplier chain execution: forecasting, inventory optimization, warehouse automation orchestration, sales, routing and delivery, and advanced business intelligence.

  • Move past "chatbots" to autonomous agents that drive execution and optimization for distribution companies.
  • Design secure, scalable API integrations between LLMs and critical business systems using standardized data access protocols.

2. Build the BDC Engine (The Builder)

We have already begun our journey into AI-driven consulting. Your role is to extend and expand our existing library of proprietary AI tools and workflows. You will take our current foundations and scale them into a robust "BDC AI OS" that automates the "consulting" out of consulting, allowing our team to deliver 10x the value to our Clients.

  • Audit and enhance our existing agentic workflows to increase reliability, speed, and depth of reasoning.
  • Scale our existing library of reusable AI components (MCP tools, comparable framework integrations, internal prompt templates, and data mappers) to maintain BDC’s competitive edge.
  • Identify high-friction repetitive tasks within BDC’s current delivery model and "agentize" them to improve practice-wide agility.

The Technical Stack

We are looking for a practitioner, not a theorist. You should be fluent in:

  • Language: Advanced Python (Async, Pydantic, FastAPI).
  • AI Architecture: Agentic patterns (LangChain, CrewAI, PydanticAI) and Tool-calling logic.
  • Protocols: Deep experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or comparable standardized data access frameworks.
  • Integration: Expertise in JSON, REST/GraphQL APIs, and navigating "messy" enterprise data.
  • Cloud: Hands-on deployment and scaling on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

The Profile: A Builder with Consulting Instincts

  • You Ship: You have a portfolio of production-ready AI agents or complex integrations.
  • You Translate: You can explain the difference between a "vector database" and "fine-tuning" to a warehouse manager without using technical jargon.
  • You Own: You thrive in ambiguity. You don't need a Jira ticket to tell you that a process is broken; you see it, you map it, and you automate it.

Compensation & Why This Role is Unique - Remote (U.S.) | Full-Time | $140,000–$175,000 base + Performance Incentives

  • Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 base (depending on engineering depth).
  • Incentives: 15–20% performance bonus, revenue sharing + potential for practice-growth profit sharing.
  • Autonomy: You are the "Head of Labs." You choose the tools, you set the technical standards, and you define the roadmap.
  • Impact: Your work directly impacts the physical supply chain of a multi-billion dollar industry.

How to Apply

Don't just send a resume. Send us a brief breakdown of the most complex agentic system, MCP-based tool, or comparable integration you've built. Tell us what the business problem was, how you architected the solution, and what the "aha!" moment was during discovery. Send to hiring@bevopsconsultants.com
