What we’re building

Market research and the surveys/data that drive it can be complicated — we’re the AI frontrunners for simplifying that process agentically. Metaforms is building at the center of a massive and rapidly evolving market worth over $100B, spanning both traditional research agencies and in-house teams at major brands.

Today, the industry still runs on legacy tools and heavily manual workflows. We’re building AI-native systems that don’t just improve this process — they redefine how research is created, operated, and scaled.

We raised a $9M Series A last year and have grown ~4x since, driven by strong adoption across leading enterprise customers. We’re now gearing up for a Series B less than a year later, with enough ARR to move towards a ~$30M raise as we continue to scale.

Over the past 4 months, our CEO and CTO have relocated to New York to build out our US presence. Since then, we’ve hired 10+ people (there’s ~50 of us now) across go-to-market and are now beginning to scale our engineering team locally at our new office in Midtown. Over the next 12 months, we expect another 5–10x phase of growth as we expand deeper into enterprise customers and begin selling more directly to brands, not just agencies.

The role

This is a product engineering role focused on building AI-native systems.

• Own product areas end-to-end (from idea → shipped product → iteration)
• Build and deploy AI agents that automate real workflows
• Work across the stack (frontend, backend, AI systems)
• Collaborate closely with founders and early team
• Over time, engage directly with customers to refine product direction

What success looks like

• You ramp quickly on both the technical system and domain
• You ship meaningful features early and iterate rapidly
• You form strong product opinions based on real usage
• You help take products from early stage → scaled adoption

What we’re looking for

• Experience building from 0→1 (idea to real usage)
• Strong understanding of AI systems, architecture, and tradeoffs
• Ability to build AI agents and work with modern AI tooling
• Solid foundation in software engineering principles and best practices
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating structure
• Strong full-stack capability (Python preferred)

Nice to have

• Computer Science/Data Science degree from a respected university OR background in big tech + start-ups
• AI Certificate or formal education in AI
• Familiarity with tools/processes such as LangChain, LangGraph, vector databases, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Docker
• Experience with context engineering in AI systems
• Experience working on AI-native products
