About the Role

This is not a traditional engineering role—we are looking for someone who can take an idea, build a solution, and deploy it into production quickly. You will work directly with leadership and business teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, and deliver automation that meaningfully impacts how we operate. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to ship real, working AI solutions within your first 30–90 days that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, or drive revenue.

Responsibilities

Build and deploy AI-powered tools that automate real workflows across the mortgage lifecycle
Rapidly prototype and launch solutions such as:
AI call agents and intake assistants
Loan officer copilots
Document classification and data extraction tools
Workflow automations across systems
Integrate AI solutions with platforms such as Encompass, CRMs, and third-party vendor systems
Work directly with business stakeholders to understand problems and deliver practical solutions—not just concepts
Identify inefficiencies in current processes and take ownership of solving them
Operate with speed—prioritizing working solutions over perfection
Continuously experiment with emerging AI tools and bring forward new ideas that can create business impact

Qualifications

A builder mindset—you enjoy creating and shipping solutions, not just planning them
Experience with APIs, integrations, and automation tools
Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms and how to apply them to real-world use cases
Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on practical outcomes
Ability to work independently and take ownership from idea to deployment
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Required Skills

Experience in mortgage or fintech environments (especially Encompass or LOS platforms)
Experience building AI tools such as chatbots, copilots, or automation workflows
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms or RPA tools
Experience integrating with mortgage-related systems (DU, LPA, FHA, credit vendors, etc.)
A track record of shipping projects quickly and iterating based on feedback
High level of curiosity and a passion for learning new technologies

Pay range and compensation package

Most of your time will be spent working remotely from home, collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting both local and remote users.
