AI System Engineer

We’re partnering with a multi-strategy credit investment platform that builds its own internal technology to drive investment decisions, monitoring, and reporting. This is a high-impact, small-team environment with direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape core systems from the ground up.

Compensation: $150K–$250K base + discretionary bonus (often equal to or exceeding base)

Location: New York City (on-site)

What You’ll Work On:

• AI-driven systems for deal diligence and portfolio monitoring
• Data pipelines for complex, real-world financial datasets
• Internal tools that automate and replace manual analysis
• Reporting and dashboards for investment teams and leadership

Ideal Background:

• 2–6 years of production-level Python engineering
• Experience in credit, lending, or financial analysis (fintech or traditional finance)
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLMs, or agentic workflows (RAG, multi-agent systems)
• Strong systems thinking — able to explain logic, controls, and decision frameworks
• Collaborative and coachable mindset
