Backend Engineer - LATAM

What you’ll do

- You’ll be a core member of our team and work on every part of the stack to accelerate our product growth and development
- Build great products that add value to our business customers
- Plan the project, generate estimates & discuss business oriented task prioritization
- Generate an opinion for the best UX, participate on the product design
- Keep good quality backend code
- Solve end-to-end problems
- Test your code (e.g. writing unit-tests and API-integration tests)
- Adapt your solutions on the startup needs and stage
- Adopt agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our applications
- Lead and couch other less experienced Software engineers

What we seek

- 2+ years of professional experience building web products and services
- Solid software architecture skills
- Strong computer science fundamentals
- Capability to write good quality code, scalable and at a fast speed
- Good understanding of how the web works and how to keep the app secure
- Ability to adapt and work on an continuously evolving environment
- Communicate complex ideas in a simple way
- Strong desire to learn and to grow
- Spanish speaker

Nice to have

- BS (or greater) in Computer Science or alike
- 5+ years of professional experience on web development
- Fintech experience
- Ruby, AWS
- Ability to also develop in front end (Javascript, React)
- Fluent in English
