Founding Engineer - NYC (Onsite)

A well-funded early-stage startup building an AI-native platform to automate complex, large-scale commercial workflows are looking for Founding Engineers to join their team.

What will I be doing:

• Build and deploy autonomous AI systems and scalable backend services to power end-to-end workflows
• Work across applied AI and backend engineering, integrating with external systems and bringing intelligent products into production
• Collaborate closely with the founding team, owning projects from concept through to deployment and iteration

What we’re looking for:

• A high-caliber engineer with strong fundamentals and a systems-thinking approach
• Experience with backend development (e.g. Python, TypeScript, APIs, databases)
• Exposure to LLMs or AI systems, particularly in real-world or production settings
• Interest in automation, agents, and building intelligent software
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
• Strong growth trajectory and ambition - potential matters more than tenure

What’s in it for me:

• Base salary of $180-000 - $210,000 dependent on experience plus meaningful early-stage equity
