Senior AI Engineer (Agentic)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Base: $180K to $300K + equity

We're hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a well-funded NYC AI startup backed by Andreessen Horowitz and Founders Fund. The product is already profitable, used by millions of people globally, and the team is small enough that what you ship will be visible day one.

About the role You'll be building production agentic systems that real users touch every day. Not research. Not demos. Real product work, shipped fast, iterated on with live feedback.

What you'll do

• Design and ship agentic features end to end, from prototype to production
• Build with Python, LangChain/LangGraph, and RAG pipelines
• Own technical direction in your area and work closely with the founder
• Help push the agent stack forward as the product scales to its next phase

What we're looking for

• Senior engineer with production experience shipping LLM and agent features at a Series A+ startup
• Strong Python, LangChain/LangGraph, and RAG fluency
• Proven builder, you've shipped 0 to 1 and iterated with real users
• Low ego, high ownership, bias for action
• NYC-based and comfortable hybrid

Nice to have

• Prior experience at an agentic AI company
• OSS contributions to LangChain or adjacent frameworks
• Experience with agent evals and observability
