About the Job

Plexus has partnered with a well-funded Web3 + AI startup ($10M+ seed) seeking a Web3 + AI Engineer to build infrastructure for autonomous AI agents, combining smart contracts, LLMs, and backend systems across blockchain and AI.

What You'll Do:

Design and deploy smart contracts (Ethereum / EVM)
Build Web3 backends and APIs for decentralised applications
Integrate AI models (LLMs, agents) into Web3 products
Work with on-chain and off-chain data pipelines
Optimise blockchain performance, scalability, and security

What We're Looking For:

Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript or Python
Experience with Solidity and EVM smart contracts
Understanding of blockchain fundamentals (gas, consensus, DeFi)
Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs or ML pipelines
Experience building APIs and backend systems
Ability to operate in fast-paced, low-structure environments

Preferred Skills:

Experience with AI agents, RAG, or vector databases
Knowledge of DeFi, tokenomics, or on-chain automation
Familiarity with Layer 2s or cross-chain systems
