Applied AI Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer

SF or NYC onsite / $200k–$350k + equity

We’re hiring an Applied AI Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer to help bring advanced AI systems into real-world enterprise environments. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer delivery, focused on turning modern foundation models into production-grade applications with measurable business impact.

You’ll join an early-stage team on track for significant growth this year, with the opportunity to shape how AI systems are designed, deployed, and scaled across complex enterprise environments.

What you’ll do:

• Work directly with enterprise stakeholders to understand problems and design AI-driven solutions
• Build and deploy agentic systems using modern LLM workflows and tooling
• Integrate AI models into real production environments across cloud or on-prem infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with research and product teams to adapt models for real-world use cases
• Own projects end-to-end from discovery through deployment
• Help define best practices for deploying applied AI systems at scale

What we’re looking for:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, ideally Python or TypeScript
• Experience shipping production systems using modern tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, orchestration frameworks, evaluation tooling, or fine-tuning workflows
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with high ownership
• Comfort working in customer-facing environments and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Motivated by building real-world AI systems that deliver tangible value
