About Rovi Health
Rovi is an AI-powered care concierge and virtual clinic for employer health plans. We monitor clinical data in real time, catch expensive care before it gets scheduled, and redirect members to higher-quality, lower-cost options. When someone has a condition we can treat directly, we do that through our own virtual clinic.
The problem we’re solving: in-network prices for the same procedure vary up to 10x within a single zip code. A hospital MRI costs $3,000. The independent imaging center ten minutes away charges $500. Same scan, same quality. But nobody tells the patient, the doctor doesn’t know the price, and the employer won’t see the claim for months. So the expensive option wins by default, every time.
Rovi changes that. We deliver high-quality care to member before they choose the expensive or low-quality default. Our AI-native clinic allows us to treat and navigate care, meaning we can reduce outpatient spend by over 30% while improving health outcomes.
We’re live with 30,000 patients today and adding thousands more each month. We’re backed by Y Combinator, Lightspeed, Gradient (Google’s AI fund), Liquid 2 (Joe Montana), and others.
The Role
You’ll join a small, fast-moving engineering team that ships daily. The work spans the full stack: AI agents that talk to patients, data pipelines that ingest clinical records, dashboards that show employers their savings. One week you might be tuning a clinical triage agent. The next you’re at a client site wiring up a data integration.
You’ll own real product surface area, talk to customers, and ship things that go live for thousands of patients. What you build here matters immediately.
What You’ll Work On
AI agents that handle real patient care
Someone reaches out with a symptom. The agent you build figures out what they need, finds the best provider on price and quality, books the appointment, follows up afterward. These agents handle real clinical decisions across dozens of conditions. You’ll build them, evaluate them, and improve them based on what actually happens with patients.
Data pipelines that catch waste before it happens
We pull claims data, EHR records, and pharmacy feeds in real time. This data is how we know that someone’s about to get a $3,000 MRI when a $500 option exists ten minutes away. You’ll build the systems that process these signals and trigger the right outreach at the right time.
Client integrations
Every health plan is set up differently. You’ll work directly with TPAs and employers to wire up their data, configure how our agents behave for their population, and build the reporting that proves it’s working. Some of this is forward-deployed. You’ll be the engineer in the room when a client needs something built.
Virtual clinic
We treat common conditions directly. UTIs, medication refills, skin conditions, and more. You’ll build the AI intake that collects a patient’s symptoms and history, the tools clinicians use to treat people asynchronously, and the follow-up systems that keep patients on track.
