We are looking for a Chief AI & Automation Officer to own the full AI transformation of Maria Jones Law Firm — a 21-year-old immigration law firm serving the Hispanic community across the U.S. You will design the system, build it, hire your team, and run it. Real authority. Real accountability. Real impact.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Maria Jones Law Firm processes immigration cases — family petitions, green cards, naturalizations, work permits — and we are rebuilding the entire operation around AI. The goal is 10X case volume through intelligent automation, making immigration legal services faster, cheaper, and more accessible to thousands of families.

This is a builder + operator role. You design the system and then run it.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

- Audit every existing system (Docketwise, Invoiced, Twilio, document tools) and map what stays, what goes, and what gets rebuilt

- Design and execute end-to-end AI automation across legal intake, case processing, client communication, billing, and collections

- Build and deploy AI agents: chat agents for client intake, voice bots for follow-up, document assembly automation for case preparation

- Reduce manual labor from 80%+ of workflows to under 20%

- Recruit, screen, and manage your own technical team within an approved budget

- Build real-time dashboards and performance tracking systems

- Own the client-facing technology experience — intake portals, payment systems, case status tools (bilingual English/Spanish)

- Act as strategic technology partner to the CEO through a 12-month transformation

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You have built systems that replaced workflows — not just improved them

- Production experience with LLMs, AI agents, APIs, and automation pipelines (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)

- You think like an operator, not just an engineer — you understand business outcomes

- You have hired and managed technical teams before

- Zero drama, high ownership — you move fast and take responsibility for results

- Experience in legal tech, healthcare tech, or regulated industries is a strong plus

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Month 3: Full system audit complete. First AI-powered intake workflow live.

Month 6: Core AI system operational — document assembly and case processing running in production with less than 5% error rate.

Month 9: Case processing volume doubled. Manual touchpoints reduced by 60%+.

Month 12: AI handling 80%+ of routine case work. Team right-sized. Firm on trajectory for 10X volume.
