Computer Vision & AI Engineer (2D/3D Imaging)
CoDentist is building an AI-native platform at the intersection of healthcare, computer vision, and advanced manufacturing.
We are reimagining how dentistry works, connecting real-time smile simulation with end-to-end 3D restorative workflows. From a single 2D image, our system generates highly realistic before and after simulations in seconds, then translates those designs into manufacturing-ready 3D models for veneers, crowns, mockups, and full-arch restorations.
We are looking for a Computer Vision and AI Engineer to help build this from the ground up.
This is a 0 to 1 build opportunity.
What You Will Work On:
You will operate at the intersection of computer vision, generative AI, and 3D geometry, working on problems such as:
• Single image to 3D reconstruction
• Image to image generation with high realism including lighting, lips, and textures
• Facial and dental landmark detection
• Smile design and aesthetic modeling
• Handling real-world edge cases including blur, occlusion, and constrained inputs
• CBCT and CT scan segmentation and DICOM-based workflows
• Photo to 3D alignment and landmark-based registration
• 3D mesh generation, repair, and refinement
• Printability validation and manufacturing constraints
• Translating AI outputs into manufacturing-ready 3D models for CAD CAM, 3D printing, and milling
Qualifications:
• Strong experience in computer vision and deep learning
• Experience working with both 2D and 3D data including images, meshes, and point clouds
• Experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar
• Experience building and deploying AI inference systems in GPU and cloud environments
• Understanding of geometry, rendering, or 3D pipelines
• Ability to move fast, experiment, and build from first principles
Bonus if you have:
• Worked on image to 3D or generative modeling including diffusion, GANs, or image to image systems
• Experience with medical imaging including CBCT, CT, radiographs, and DICOM
• Built systems that translate AI outputs into real-world applications such as manufacturing, healthcare, or robotics
Why This Role
• Build a category-defining product from zero
• Work on real-world AI focused on outcomes, not just models
• Direct impact on a massive, underserved healthcare category
• Small team with high ownership and no bureaucracy
