Surface Labs is an applied AI lab building the Lead Operations Center for B2B marketing teams. Surface unifies lead capture, qualification, and routing, follow-ups and long-term nurture — allowing marketers to spend 80% less time on manual ops work and more time finding creative ways to convert leads into revenue.

We're live in production with Surface AI agents processing 50K+ leads monthly, are backed by YC/Garry Tan and Dharmesh Shah (co-founder of HubSpot), and just doubled our team size in the last 2 months across Engineering, Design, and GTM.

The Role

You'll own the content engine at Surface Labs. Not a writer, not a marketer — an engineer who treats content like a product and ships distribution systems end-to-end. Pure commission, uncapped, tied directly to pipeline you influence.

You'll own:

  • Content pipelines across LinkedIn, Reddit, X, YouTube, and our blog
  • AEO/GEO visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot (we track 147 prompts today)
  • Blog infrastructure, CMS (Notion → Next.js ISR), and internal content tooling
  • Claude-powered workflows that turn one insight into 50 pieces of content
  • Measurement — impressions, visibility %, pipeline influenced

Who You Are

  • 1+ years shipping production code (any stack; we use Next.js + TypeScript + Python)
  • Written content people have actually read (LinkedIn, blog, Reddit, Twitter — show us)
  • Power user of Claude, Cursor, or similar — you 10x your own output
  • Opinionated about distribution, not just creation
  • Moves fast, ships daily, measures everything
  • Comfortable betting on yourself — this is a commission-only role

Bonus: Ran paid ads, done SEO/AEO work, built a personal following from zero, or worked at a B2B SaaS in growth/content eng.

Comp

  • Base: $0
  • Commission: $2K–$5K per closed deal sourced from your content (uncapped)
  • OTE: $100K–$200K+ based on pipeline influenced
  • Equity: 0.10%–0.50% (4-year vest, 1-year cliff)
