Founding Engineer at Afternoon (F24)

We are looking for a founding engineer, an extremely leveraged role. You’ll work directly with founders to build a highly integrated back-office product spanning state compliance, sales tax, bookkeeping and corporate income taxes.

What will you need to bring

• 3+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer with a proven track record of execution. You've built outstanding products and collaborated closely within engineering teams.
• High ownership and agency. We’re a lean startup, and you'll be expected to care deeply about the product and fully drive significant parts of the roadmap.

Nice to have:

• Fintech experience
• Practical experience with applied AI (e.g., working with LLMs and agentic workflows)
• Familiarity with our technology stack: TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL
