Founding Engineer
We are hiring a founding engineer. This is not a normal engineering job. You will help decide what the company becomes, because the first technical decisions shape everything that follows. If you do this well, years from now large parts of the system will still look the way you designed them. You will be one of the first engineers. You will work directly with the founders. You will own real problems end to end. If you want to be part of a small, high-caliber team, this role is that.
Sava is a YC-backed fintech startup modernizing a centuries old industry. We have raised a $10M from Gradient Ventures, Max Mullen (Instacart founder), SV Angel and other great investors.
What you will do
You will design and build the core systems of the company.
You will:
- Build and ship product surfaces that make complex financial and legal structures understandable
- Develop high-quality interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Build agent-driven workflows for compliance, document generation, and asset movement
- Integrate with custodians, banks, and legacy financial systems
- And much more.
You will be one of the first engineers. The architecture you build will shape the company for years.
Who we are looking for
You are someone who likes hard problems that matter.
You probably:
- Have been a founder, early engineer, or technical lead at a strong startup
- Care deeply about systems, data integrity, and correctness
- Are comfortable owning big pieces of a product with little structure
- Understand modern AI tooling and how to use it for both software development and real automation
- Have good product and UI taste and can be trusted to make clear, competent interface decisions
You do not need prior trusts or finance experience.
The team
You will work in person in NYC with the founders:
- Nimit Maru, 2x YC founder, previously started and sold two companies to public companies, most recently Fullstack Academy
- Rush Sadiwala, experienced serial founder with deep financial and operational experience
If you want to build something foundational, difficult, and important, you should talk to us.
