Job Title: Founding Engineering

Company: Stealth Start Up in the Wealth Tech Space

Compensation: 200-250k equity

We are currently partnering with a stealth startup within the WealthTech space who specalizes in building AI Native Portfolio Management tools in search for a Founding Engineer to join their organization. We are looking for an individual who has deep experience across the broader FinTech space (wealthtech experience preferred) who is excited to join a lean team founded by industry leaders who have been through 4x exits before.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build scalable systems handling complex data workflows and external integrations
  • Own backend architecture (Node/TypeScript preferred) while contributing to frontend when needed
  • Develop reliable pipelines, APIs, and services with strong observability and performance in mind
  • Partner closely with product to ship quickly, iterate, and refine based on user feedback
  • Leverage AI tools and contribute to AI-enabled product features

What You Bring

  • Experience building production systems with high data complexity and reliability requirements
  • Strong system design skills across distributed systems and modern cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Full-stack capability with a backend-first mindset
  • Product-oriented thinking with the ability to balance speed vs. scalability
  • Clear communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Track record of building from early-stage or ambiguous environments

Nice to Have

  • Background in fintech or regulated industries
  • Exposure to AI/ML systems or data-heavy applications
  • ~5+ years experience or equivalent scope of ownership
