Full-Stack Software Engineer
New York City (5 days/week onsite), YC Startup
Compensation
$150K–$220K base + equity (flexible for exceptional candidates)
About the Company
Our client is building an AI-powered platform that modernizes how critical, real-world assets are bought, sold, and managed. Backed by top-tier investors and having raised ~$18M, the company has grown rapidly from a small founding team to 20+ employees and is entering a key scaling phase with significant product expansion ahead.
About the Role
Our client is hiring multiple full-stack engineers to work directly with the founders on a highly impactful, production system. This is a high-ownership role where you will shape product direction, build core systems, and ship features end-to-end in a fast-paced, collaborative, in-person environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and own core systems across the platform and transaction stack
- Design APIs, data models, and services that operate at real-world scale
- Automate complex workflows across areas like payments, logistics, and compliance
- Ship features end-to-end from idea → production with high ownership
- Work closely with product, operations, and customers to iterate quickly
What They’re Looking For
- 2–4+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer (flexible for high-upside candidates)
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript across frontend and backend
- Experience building and shipping production systems
- Ability to own features or systems end-to-end in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Strong product and design sensibility; able to take ideas from 0→1
- Bonus: experience at early-stage (Series A–C) startups or in marketplace/fintech environments
What Stands Out
- Founding engineer or early startup experience
- Demonstrated ownership and measurable impact (systems shipped, metrics improved)
- Strong frontend/UI/UX instincts (no dedicated design team)
- Active GitHub, portfolio, or side projects
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team at a critical growth stage, work directly with founders, and build systems that have tangible real-world impact. Engineers in this role are expected to take ownership, move quickly, and help shape both the product and the company.
