You're a Machine Learning Engineer with 1-5 years experience.

The Company
Pre-seed applied AI startup based in NYC, recently raised $2M+ from a Tier-1 VC, with talks for larger expansion on the horizon. They've signed up some great clients and the demand for their product is huge. The company is building AI-native developer tooling for engineers working on complex, mission-critical hardware systems. They are now looking to bring on a Software Engineer to continue building on the work of their founding team.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship ML systems that run in the real world
- Transform messy data into something your models can learn from
- Take ownerships of ambiguous problems, solve them, and ship the solution
Qualifications
- High ownership mindset
- Ready to make a huge impact in your next role
- 1-5 years in ML
- Strong Python, PyToch
- Experience building with agentic AI techniques and tools (e.g RAG, MCP, Langchain)
- US citizen (no sponsorship available)
On Offer
- Join a startup at the early stage (team of 6), with a base salary up to $150k + equity
- Runway is 2+ years, demand is huge, and they are backed by top-tier VCs
Although the work is challenging, this is not a 996 environment - you will have weekends to yourself and a much better work-life balance than 90% of other startups out there.
