About the Role
You’ll build core user interfaces, APIs, and backend infrastructure. You’ll operate across the stack: designing, shipping, and maintaining everything from frontend product experiences to backend services that power strategy, data, and operations. This role is ideal for someone who likes shipping end-to-end, cares about craft, and enjoys working in a small team with high ownership.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain frontend applications (web and/or mobile) and backend APIs powering core product experiences.
Work closely with research/quant and product teams to turn investment logic, simulations, and data pipelines into reliable product surfaces.
Build internal dashboards, tools, and data visualizations for monitoring portfolios, experiments, and operational workflows.
Own features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and iteration.
Maintain high standards for code quality, usability, reliability, and performance.
Improve developer velocity through good systems: CI/CD, tooling, clear interfaces, and pragmatic documentation.
Requirements
3+ years experience as a full stack engineer (startup, product team, or high-ownership environment).
Strong skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) and backend development (Python, Node, Go, etc.).
Experience building, testing, and deploying production web applications.
Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), plus strong understanding of data modeling and system boundaries.
Solid fundamentals: debugging, performance, and reliability in real-world systems.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize well, and thrive in a fast-moving, research-driven culture.
Comfort leveraging modern AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) to increase output while maintaining maintainability and structure.
(Optional) Experience with mobile development (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter).
(Optional) Experience with financial systems, portfolio data, or high-stakes UX.
