Senior AI Engineer (Agent Systems)
Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA (In Person)
Compensation: Up to $230,000 base + equity
About the Role
We’re partnering with an early stage AI company building production grade agent systems to automate complex, real world workflows in a large, under digitized industry.
This is not a research or experimentation role. You will be building AI systems that run in production and directly power real customer workflows.
The company is already live with enterprise customers and seeing strong traction. You will join a small, highly technical team focused on shipping quickly and solving real problems.
What You’ll Work On
- Build and deploy AI agents that handle end to end workflows in production
- Design systems to ingest and structure messy enterprise data such as PDFs, spreadsheets, emails, and public datasets
- Develop retrieval and reasoning layers to support decision making
- Design agent workflows, orchestration layers, and tool integrations
- Implement evaluation loops to improve system performance over time
- Work closely with customers to understand problems and ship solutions quickly
What They’re Looking For
- Strong engineering background in backend, full stack, or systems
- Experience building and deploying AI powered applications in production
- Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, or agent based systems
- Ability to design scalable systems and work with unstructured data
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and owning problems end to end
