Senior AI Engineer – Fully Remote

We’re partnering with an early-stage startup building at the forefront of applied AI, now looking for their first dedicated AI / Data Science hire. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll own and build the entire AI layer of the product from the ground up.

You’ll work directly with the CEO alongside a small, high-calibre engineering team, shaping both the technical direction and long-term AI strategy.

🚀 The Role

This isn’t a plug-and-play position. You’ll be stepping into a greenfield environment where much of the AI and data science infrastructure still needs to be defined, rebuilt, and scaled.

From RAG pipelines to evaluation frameworks, you’ll take full ownership of how AI is designed, deployed, and improved across the product.

🧠 What You’ll Be Doing

Owning and building the AI / data science layer end-to-end
Designing and implementing RAG pipelines and document processing systems
Developing robust evaluation frameworks, prompt tracing, and versioning systems
Building and maintaining MLOps pipelines to support scalable deployment
Working closely with the CEO to translate product vision into AI capabilities
Collaborating with a small engineering team to integrate AI into core product workflows
Establishing feedback loops to continuously improve model performance

🛠️ Must-Have Experience

Strong experience with prompt engineering and context optimisation
Hands-on experience with multi-agent orchestration and chain prompting
Solid background in MLOps and pipeline engineering (eval frameworks, tracing, versioning, feedback loops)
Experience building RAG pipelines and document processing systems
Proven ability to work in early-stage, ambiguous environments and take full ownership

⭐ Nice-to-Have

Experience with audio / transcription ML systems
Knowledge of speaker diarization and topic detection
Experience with transcript mapping and structuring unstructured data
Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search systems
