Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, AI

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 + significant equity

Location: Full-time onsite in San Francisco

Focused on a $300B+ market, the company is automating complex, real-world workflows end-to-end with a combination of computer vision, LLM reasoning, and scalable backend infrastructure. Backed by top-tier investors, the company has already reached high seven-figure ARR and is growing 50% month-over-month, with enterprise customers including globally recognized technology companies.

About the Role:

This is a high-impact opportunity for a backend engineer to join as an early member of a deeply technical, high-performance team. You’ll work on the core systems powering autonomous AI agents in production, owning infrastructure, system design, and scaling challenges from day one. The environment is highly agentic, with strong ownership and minimal oversight, offering a clear path to leadership as the team grows.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and scale backend systems powering autonomous AI workflows
• Design and own APIs, databases, and distributed system architecture
• Work across multimodal AI systems, including computer vision, OCR, telematics, and LLM-based reasoning
• Ship production code immediately and take full ownership of deployed systems
• Scale infrastructure to handle real-world enterprise workloads and improve system throughput
• Define technical direction and drive projects end-to-end in a highly autonomous environment
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and technical leadership

What You’ll Bring:

• Ample backend engineering experience (Python preferred)
• Strong computer science fundamentals with clear signals of excellence
• Experience in high-performance environments (e.g. HFT, top startups, or strong big tech teams)
• Track record of building and shipping production systems
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
• Familiarity with Docker, Postgres, and modern data systems (e.g. vector databases)
• High agency with a strong builder mindset (founder experience, side projects, or rapid growth)
