Senior Software Engineer
IMPORTANT:
This is a high-bar, builder-focused role.
We are ONLY considering candidates who have demonstrated exceptional builder ability, including owning and shipping real, customer-facing products.
Experience limited to internal tools or purely execution-based roles will NOT be considered. Profiles without clear evidence of ownership, product impact, or independent building (side projects, startups, GitHub) will NOT be considered.
Expert Software Product Engineer - Front End Leaning (React / TypeScript) – NYC (Onsite)
About the Company
We’re a venture-backed, early-stage startup building a marketplace transforming how brands discover and execute partnerships across sports, media, and live events.
This is a massive, historically offline market now being rebuilt from the ground up — introducing transparency, liquidity, and data into a space that has never had it. The opportunity sits at the intersection of marketplaces, AdTech, and real-world experiences, with clear potential to become a category-defining company.
The team is small, fast-moving, and product-focused, already working with major enterprise customers and scaling quickly.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Founding / Product Engineer (frontend-leaning) to join a small, high-caliber team and build the core product from 0→1.
This is a role for builders. You’ll own and ship critical, customer-facing features end-to-end — from idea to production — with direct impact on users and revenue.
You’ll work closely with founders, design, and customers, operating with high ownership, high expectations, and minimal hand-holding.
Working Style
- Highly in-person (NYC, 5–6 days/week)
- Fast-paced, high ownership environment
- Engineers are expected to take ideas from 0→1 with minimal direction
- Strong emphasis on quality, speed, and taste
What You’ll Do
- Own and ship core frontend features end-to-end (design → production)
- Building customer-facing features used in production
- Experience working on products with real users, transactions, or scale
- Build scalable, high-performance UI systems using React + TypeScript
- Work closely with founders, design, and users to shape product direction
- Contribute to product decisions, not just execution
- Operate across the stack when needed (Node, GraphQL, APIs)
- Thrive in a fast-paced, in-person startup environment
Tech Stack
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js
- Backend: Node.js, GraphQL, Prisma
- Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, vector DBs
- Infra: Cloud-based modern infrastructure
- Integrations: Payments, auth, analytics, and AI APIs

- Those looking for highly structured environments
- Candidates without hands-on product-building experience
What We’re Looking For
- Evidence of building products outside of work (side projects, startups, open source)
- Track record of shipping quickly and owning features end-to-end
- Strong product intuition and attention to UX/detail
- Strong TypeScript + React experience
- Experience building and shipping real, customer-facing product features
- Evidence of building outside of work (side projects, startups, open source, hackathons)
- Ability to own features end-to-end (frontend + some backend exposure)
- Strong product sense and attention to detail
- Experience building core product features (not internal tools)
- Background from top-tier engineering orgs or high-growth startups
- Strong product sense and ownership mentality
- Ability to move fast and ship high-quality code
- Early-career, high-trajectory profile preferred (0–5 years)
- Bonus: founder experience, hackathons, or active GitHub presence, marketplace/product experience
Compensation
- Base: $200K–$250K USD
- Equity: 1-5%
- Location: NYC (5–6 days onsite)
Why This Role
- Founding-level impact on a high-growth product
- Small, elite engineering team
