Compensation: $200K–$230K base + 1–2% equity

Work Authorization: US citizens or Green card residents only, TN visas are also considered.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Founding Engineer to help build the core product and technical foundation from the ground up.

You will operate across backend, frontend, APIs, infrastructure, and AI/LLM integrations. This is a zero-to-one build environment where speed, ownership, and technical depth matter more than title or years of experience.

This role offers direct influence over architecture, product decisions, and future hiring.

What You’ll Do

• Build backend systems in Golang (Open to Node or Python, as well )

• Develop frontend applications using React and TypeScript

• Design and maintain scalable APIs

• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into production workflows

• Own features end-to-end i.e. architecture, implementation, deployment, iteration

• Make architectural trade-offs balancing velocity and long-term scalability

• Implement AI-assisted engineering workflows to increase development leverage

• Work directly with leadership and early customers to translate needs into shipped features

• Help define engineering standards and hiring as the team grows

Core Requirements

• Experience in early-stage or high-growth startups

• Proven history of shipping production software used by real customers

• Strong backend engineering experience (Golang preferred)

• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript

• Experience building and consuming APIs

• Exposure to AI/LLM systems or production AI integrations

• Strong system design fundamentals

• Ability to operate in ambiguity and high-autonomy environments

• Ability to work onsite in NYC 3–5 days per week

Preferred

• Experience designing scalable distributed systems

• Background building AI-native or automation-focused products

• Interest in shaping engineering culture from day one
