You will design and build the most critical features of a product while steering its technical roadmap and ensuring sustained stability and growth. The technical choices you make will have a direct impact on the product and its users, offering you the freedom to innovate alongside the accountability to execute.

• TeachTales: Delivers personalized, engaging storytelling that enhances student comprehension.
• TimeBack: Functions as a learning copilot, embedding into existing apps to coach students proactively.

Your role will be to lead the technical advancement of these products, making them scalable, maintainable, and resilient over time. Working hand-in-hand with product teams, you will convert high-level requirements into sound technical designs and navigate complex challenges while upholding rigorous quality standards. Your decisions will define the product's trajectory and affect how thousands of students engage with learning.

What You Will Be Doing

• Feature Development: Architecting and delivering new features with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and lasting product value.
• Requirement Engineering: Partnering with the product team to refine specifications and guiding technical conversations to ensure features align with product objectives.
• Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing product stability, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing issues.
• Technical Design: Driving high-stakes technical decisions that directly shape user experience and product scalability.

• Jumping between short-term initiatives or pursuing the latest technology fads.
• Supporting internal IT infrastructure or outsourced engagements with no meaningful user impact.

Basic Requirements
Senior Software Engineer key responsibilities

• At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
• At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
• At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
• Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
