Solutions Engineer
Forward Deployment Engineer | Fully Remote (GA) | $200K - $250K + equity
An early-stage AI company with serious enterprise traction is looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer to sit at the intersection of cutting-edge agentic AI technology and real-world customer impact.
This is not a support role with a fancy title. You'll be the person who makes the technology actually work in production, owning the technical relationship with customers, solving complex deployment challenges, and feeding hard-won field insights back into the product. If you're a strong engineer who gets restless behind a desk and wants to see your work matter immediately and visibly, this was written for you.
What you'll be doing
- Own end-to-end technical deployment for enterprise customers: from pre-sales solutioning through go-live and beyond
- Become a deep expert in an agentic AI platform that is genuinely novel: not another wrapper on top of an LLM
- Build integrations between the platform and customers' existing enterprise systems and workflows
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in live production environments
- Translate customer pain points and edge cases into actionable product feedback
- Partner closely with sales, product, and engineering: you're the connective tissue between the field and the company
What they're looking for
- Familiarity with agent frameworks, LLM tooling, or AI automation platforms
- A builder first: you're most comfortable when you're close to the code and the problem
- Strong Python skills and comfort working with APIs, SDKs, and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience deploying or supporting technical software in enterprise environments
- A genuine curiosity about AI: you don't need to be an ML researcher, but you need to care about where this is going
- Excellent communication: you can explain complex systems to a technical architect and a business stakeholder in the same afternoon
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity: you don't need a perfect playbook to move forward
Nice to have
- Experience in a customer-facing engineering role (solutions engineer, implementation engineer, forward deployment engineer)
- Background working with workflow automation, RPA, or enterprise process tooling
- Exposure to regulated industries or complex enterprise IT environments
Why this role is worth your attention
- Agentic AI is the most consequential shift in enterprise software in a decade, and this company is building core infrastructure for it, not riding the hype
- You'll work directly with enterprise customers solving real, high-stakes automation problems: the feedback loop between your work and its impact is short
- Early enough to shape how the FDE function is built, late enough that the product is proven and customers are real
- Fully remote with the autonomy that implies: this is a company that hires adults and treats them that way
- The kind of technical breadth this role demands is rare, and so is the opportunity it creates for your career
